Several Owls Compete At All-New England Meet

WESTFIELD, Mass. –  Westfield State had several athletes compete at the NEICCCA All-New England track and field championships on Friday at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center in Roxbury, Mass.
 
Amy O'Sullivan placed 12th in the women's 5000 meters with a time of 18:09.09, while teammate Andrea Noland placed 28th with a time of 19:28.
 
Lauren Gilderdale finished 10th in the 20-lb. weight throw with a toss of 16.02m (52-06.75, just missing qualification for the finals
 
The meet features qualified athletes from NCAA Division I, II and III schools.
 
The meet continues Saturday with Owl's athletes Zac Bentley competing in the men's mile and Grace Phair running in the women's 3000 meters. Other members of the Westfield State Track and Field teams will be competing at the Wesleyan Invitational meet in Middletown, Conn.
