Sartoris, 400 Medley Relay Top Owl Performances

WESTFIELD, Mass. –   Westfield State University freshman Sarah Sartoris (East Hartford, Conn./South Windsor, Conn.) placed eighth in the 200 backstroke in 2:19.66 to highlight the Owls performances on Day 2 of the 100th NEISDA Championships at the Tootell Pool at the University of Rhode Island on Friday.
 
The Owls 400 medley relay team placed fifth in 4:14.42
 
Senior Kelsey Johnstone (Southwick, Mass./Westfield) qualified for the finals in the 200 IM with a time of 2:14.64 but was disqualified in the event final.
 
After the second day of competition, the Owls sit in ninth place among 21 competing teams.   Roger Williams leads the meet with 589 points, followed by Simmons (472) and Keene State (376) , while the Owls have totaled 145 points.
 
The meet continues through Sunday.
