Westfield State swimming and diving had several strong performances at the Louise Goodrum Invitational meet on Saturday at UMass-Dartmouth in North Dartmouth, Mass..
Event winners for the Owls included sophomore Kait Kelly (Hampden, Mass.), who won the 50 backstroke in 29.38, the 100 backstroke in 1:02.99, and the 100 freestyle in 57.29 seconds.
Junior Kelsey Johnstone (Westfield/Southwick, Mass.) was a winner in the 50 breaststroke (32.83) and the 100 breaststroke (1:11.21).
Westfield State senior Shannon Fitzsimmons (Andover, Mass.) won the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:37.74, and placed second in the 200 freestyle.
Westfield's 200 medley relay team placed second.
The meet was officially a non-scoring meet.
