Chretien and Rennich Earn MASCAC Weekly Awards

WESTFIELD, Mass.  –     Westfield State senior Nicole Chretien (North Attleboro, Mass.) and freshman Jenn Rennich (Bedford, Mass.) were named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week and Rookie of the week, for their role in leading the Owls the league title this past weekend.

Chretien netted the first (and game-winning) goal in the Owls 3-0 win in the Owls' championship game win and added an assist on the second goal. She was named the MVP of the conference tournament.

Rennich tallied two goals, and three assists in the Owls three-game run to the league title.

Rennich leads the Owls in scoring with eight goals and 10 assists for 26 points.  Chretien ranks second on the team with 12 points on three goals and six assists.

Westfield State is 10-6-3 and will make its seventh appearance in the NCAA Tournament when they travel to #12 William Smith College in Geneva, N.Y., this weekend.
