Women's Lacrosse Tops Carroll, 17-11

Cassidy Harvey and Cassidy Connolly each scored four goals to lead the way for Westfield State University as the Owls topped Carroll (Wisc.) University, 17-11, in women's lacrosse in Englewood, Fla. on Wednesday morning.

Westfield ran out to leads of 3-1 and 7-2 in the game, and was never seriously threatened.

Connolly added three assists.   Sam Simonetty and Lily Sears split the game in goal for the Owls.  Simonetty finished with six saves, while Sears added two.

The Owls improve to 4-1 with the win.  Carroll falls to 3-3.

Westfield State is back in action on Friday with a game against SUNY-Canton in Englewood.
