Westfield State women's basketball hall-of-famer Beth Hennessey was featured over the holidays by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference in their "MASCAC-made" feature, which highlights former student athletes from the league who have translated their success in intercollegiate athletics into excelling in their professional field.

Hennessey currently serves as principal at Central School in Simsbury, Connecticut.  As an undergraduate at Westfield State, she was the first 1,000 point scorer in Owls' women's basketball history, and graduated as the school's all-time leading scorer (with 1,374 points) and rebounder (701).
