Westfield State freshman guard Siobhan Moriarty, (Danvers, Mass.) was named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference women's basketball rookie of the week for her play in the week ending November 18.

Moriarity Averaged eight points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals while shooting 53% (10-19) from the field in a 2-1 week for the Owls.

She netted six points, three rebounds, an assist and steal in 14 minutes of play in her collegiate debut, a 94-83 win over Keene State College.

At the Emmanuel Tip Off Tournament, she scored nine points, grabbed two rebounds and had two steals in 11 minutes of play in a 102-45 win over Pine Manor College, then  and added nine points and five rebounds in the 102-89 championship game setback to Emmanuel College (Mass.).

Westfield State is 2-1 on the season.  The Owls will next play on Wednesday, November 28, traveling to Regis College for a non-conference game.
