Men's Track Takes Second at Coast Guard Invitational

Westfield State men's track and field placed second at the Coast Guard Academy indoor meet on Friday evening in New London, Conn.

Westfield's Mitch Maslowski won the 55-meter dash in 6.68 seconds, and Riley Moore won the pole vault, with a top height of 3.85m (12-7.5).

William Canty was second in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 8.34 seconds, and Ash Shaw picked up second place in the high jump, clearing 1.85 m (6-0.75).

The Coast Guard Academy defended it's home turf in winning the meet with 200 points, followed by Westfield (90), UMass Dartmouth (88), RIC (64) and Eastern Connecticut (60).
