Westfield State athletes swept the top three spots in the 800 meters at the Massasoit Invitational meet at Springfield College on Saturday.

 

Senior Zac Bentley led the trio home in 2:02.59 followed closely by Conner Grady and Corey Pooler.

 

Senior William Canty topped the field in the men's 60 meter hurdles running a time of 8.63 seconds in the finals.

 

Riley Moore took second in the pole vault with a clearance of  3.70m (12-01.50) , and the Owls got third place finishes from Owen Ortiz in the triple jump  13.74m (45-01.00) and from Anthony DiStauro in the mile run in a time of 4:41.88.

 

No team scoring was recorded at the meet.

 

The Owls are slated to compete next Saturday at the Bruce Lehane Invitational at Wesleyan College in Middletown, Conn.
