Bentley, Leclair Win Events on Saturday

 Junior Zac Bentley won the 800 meters in 2:02.85 as the Westfield State University's men's track and field team competed in Middletown, Conn. on Saturday.

The Owls had a number of podium performances at the meet.  William Canty took second in the pole vault at 3.95m (12'11.5") and added a third-place finish in the long jump at 6.35m (20-10").

Brandon Leclair and Tim Forrest ran 1-2 in the 5000 meters, with Leclair winning in 15:33.84.

A trio of athletes took home third place finishes for Westfield, including Mitch Maslowski  in the 200 meters 23.36, Connor Gottzmann in the 400 in 52.04 and Kevin Rayner in the mile in 4:41.12.

Westfield will next compete in the Dave Hemery Invitational meet at Boston University on Saturday, Feb. 9.
