WESTFIELD, Mass. -- The Westfield State University men's track and field team won three events at the Rhode Island College Invitational held at Providence Career and Technical High School Saturday afternoon.
Junior Zac Bentley (Acushnet, Mass. / Taunton) finished first and set an RIC meet record in the 800 meters.
Brandon Leclair crossed the line first in the 5000 meters (setting another RIC meet record), just edging out senior teammate Tim Forrest (Grafton, Mass. / Westborough) who finished in second.
The relay team of Dave Allen, Cameron Bean, Andrew Aubee, and Zac Bentley won the men's 4x800 event.
Mitchel Maslowski (Berlin, Conn.) added a second place finish in the 60 meters.
Next up for men's track and field is the Harvard Multi Meet held on January 10 and 11 at Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass.
