Men's Soccer Projected Fifth In MASCAC Poll

WESTFIELD, Mass. –   Westfield State Owls men's soccer has been projected to finish fifth in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference race this season.

The Owls lost just one match in conference play a year ago, finishing with a 3-1-3 conference mark, which placed fourth in the conference standings.

Bridgewater State paced the poll with 46 points and four first place votes, while Framingham was second with 44 points and four first place votes.  Salem State placed third with 43 points, Worcester fourth with 29 and the Owls fifth with 26.

The Owls return a strong junior class that includes midfielders Ryan Morais, and Jason Haji, forward Paul Soucy and all-conference goalkeeper Tyler Diotalevi.

The Owls will open the season with a home game at Alumni Field on Tuesday, September 3 against Fisher College at 7:00 p.m.
