Clancy Earns MASCAC Player of the Week

WESTFIELD, Mass. - Westfield State University's junior forward Aaron Clancy (Quincy, Mass.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference men's ice hockey player of the week Monday.

Clancy finished with five goals and two assists in a 2-0 week for the Owls. He scored four goals, including the game-winner in overtime, in the 5-4 win over UMass Dartmouth then netted the game-winner plus an assist in the 4-3 win at Worcester State.

Clancy leads the Owls with nine goals, five assists and 14 points on the season.

Westfield State is 5-9-1 on the season and 3-6 the MASCAC.

The Owls will be back in action on Thursday, January 25, traveling to Fitchburg State for a conference matchup.
