WESTFIELD, Mass.  – The Westfield State University Athletic Department has announced the hiring of Mia Olsen as a graduate assistant for the athletic department and field hockey.

 Olsen did her undergraduate studies at Trinity College (Hartford, CT), graduating in the spring of 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology. She was a three year starter for the Bantams' field hockey team, leading the team in assists her junior year and captaining the team to the second round of the NCAA tournament her senior year. Olsen was also an assistant coach for the 2017 Owls field hockey team that clawed its way to the Little East Conference Championship game against Keene State.

 Olsen will pursue a Master's Degree in public administration, working alongside head coach Jessica Bergen to help bring the Owls field hockey team back to the Little East Conference Championship.
