Brian Mazella enters his fourth season with his second stint at Westfield State. Mazella served as pitching coach during the 2016 and 2017 seasons before a one year stop at Nichols College in 2018, returning to Westfield State in 2019.

Mazella will assist with the pitching staff and take on the role of recruiting coordinator for the Owls.

Mazella is a 2015 graduate of Western New England University with a degree in Sport Management and minor in athletic coaching.

Mazella started his coaching career as an intern with the University of Hartford baseball program in 2014, spent time with the Dream Bat Bombers (2014-17) and currently is owner/ general manager of the SNE Wave.

A native of Windsor, Connecticut, Mazella was a four-year member of the Western New England baseball program. He appeared in 20 games as a relief pitcher and was a member of two NCAA regional tournament teams. In 2012 the team posted 38 wins and advanced to the New England regional championship game.
