Westfield's Crowley Adds NEIBA/ABCA All-Region Honors

WESTFIELD, Mass – Westfield State senior outfielder Anthony Crowley (Bellingham, Mass.) added NEIBA/ABCA All-New England honors to his impressive resume this week.

The team is voted on by a committee of coaches from around the region.

Crowley was selected to the second team after a season in which he batted .377 with nine home runs, 10 doubles and 38 runs batted in.  He walked 36 times and scored 30 runs in 40 games this season.

He was a first team all NEIBA pick a year ago.

Crowley led the Owls to a 28-16 record in 2019.  Westfield won the MASCAC regular-season and conference tournament titles, and went to the NCAA Tournament for a second straight year.

The ABCA, founded in 1945, is the primary professional organization for baseball coaches at the amateur level. It's over 11,000 members represent all 50 states and 25 countries. Since its initial meeting of 27 college baseball coaches in June 1945, Association membership has broadened to include eight divisions: NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA, NJCAA, Pacific Association Division, High School and Youth. The 76th annual ABCA Convention will be held Jan. 2-5, 2020 in Nashville, Tennessee.
