Crowley Named to All-America, All-Region Teams

WESTFIELD, Mass – Westfield State senior outfielder Anthony Crowley (Bellingham, Mass.) can add two more award to his mantle, as he has added D3Baseball.com Honorable Mention All-American honors, and D3Baseball.com all-New England honors.

Crowley was previously honored as the 2019 MASCAC Player of the Year, the second straight year he won that award.

Crowley batted .377 with nine home runs, 10 doubles and 38 runs batted in.  He walked 36 times and scored 30 runs in 40 games this season.

Crowley graduates as the Owls all-time home-run hitter with 30 home runs and is the school's career leader in RBI with 151, total bases with 321, and slugging percentage (.679).

He also ranks among Westfield State's all-time leaders in hits, walks, doubles, triples, runs scored.

"Anthony is one of the best power hitters I have seen in college baseball," said Westfield State head coach Nathan Bashaw.  "He completely changed the complexion of our lineup and put tremendous pressure on the opposing pitchers.  He is a great player, and a a better person, and I couldn't be happier for the recognition and awards  he has received in his career.   The success of our program over the past four years is the accumulation of fantastic individual performances and his impact was as big as anyone's was."

He had been chosen as a preseason All-American by the same organization back in January, and has been an All-Region selection in each of the past three seasons.

Crowley led the Owls to a 28-16 record in 2019.  Westfield won the MASCAC regular-season and conference tournament titles, and went to the NCAA Tournament for a second straight year.
