WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Freshman Amy O'Sullivan (Greenfield, Mass.) finished fourth overall in her collegiate debut at the Trinity College Bantam Invitational Cross Country meet at Wickham Park in Manchester, Conn.
O'Sullivan covered the 5-kilometer course in a time of 20:18.6, about 24 seconds behind race-winner Samantha Feenstra, a junior from Trinity.
O'Sullivan's breakout day helped the Owls to a third place team finish as the Owls finished with 72 points. Trinity won the meet with a team score of 29, followed by Connecticut College with 34.
Junior Andrea Noland (Silver Lake/Kingston, Mass.) was the next Owl home with a time of 21:00.6. Lauren Fitzgerald (Burncoat/Worcester, Mass.), Rachel Farley(Wachussett/Paxton, Mass.), and Lauren Izabel (Suffield/Enfield, Conn.) all finished in the top 20.
Westfield will next compete at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational next weekend.
