Wesleyan Snaps Owls Three-Match Win Streak

WESTFIELD, Mass.  – Wesleyan University handed Westfield State volleyball a 3-0 loss on Thursday night, with the Cardinals winning by identical 25-12 scores in all three sets in Middletown, Conn.

Sophomore Ainsley MacLeod led the Owls with seven kills, with Natasha Belardo adding six kills.

Jess Haradon registered a team high 12 digs for the Owls, and Ally Rega led with 23 assists.

The loss snaps a three-match winning streak for the Owls, which are now 3-13 on the season.

Wesleyan was led by seven kills each from Nicole Hilton and Madeleine Lundberg.  The Cards improve to 8-1 for the season.

Westfield State will next meet eastern Connecticut in a tri match at Western New England College in Springfield on Saturday.
