Westfield State's Eliza Lee turned in a trio of strong performances on Saturday to highlight the Owls' women's track and field team's competition at the Pioneer Fast Trax Invitational at Utica (NY) College.
Lee placed third in the triple jump with a mark of 10.63 meters, and added a sixth in the 600 meters in 1:44.56, and added a seventh place result in the long jump.
The Owls got fifth place results from Devin Whalen, in the 60 m hurdles with a time of 9.83, and Paige Moroney in the flat 60 meters in 8.29.
Emily Ottomaniello placed sixth in the high jump, clearing 1.47 meters.
The Owl women placed eighth as a team among 17 scoring teams.
Westfield will host the 2024 MASCAC track and field championships next Saturday, Feb. 10 at Smith College, with the field events beginning at 10:30 a.m. and the running events commencing at noon.
