Westfield State senior Lauren Gilderdale won both the shot put and the weight throw to lead the Owls women's track and field team at the Massasoit Invitational meet at Springfield College on Saturday.
Gilderdale had her best throws of the season, putting the shot 13.12m (43-00.50) and tossing the 20-lb weight 17.04m (55-11.00).
Sophomore Amy O'Sullivan topped the mile run in 5:15.16 and freshman Grace Phair was a winner in the 3000 meters in 10:37.48.
No team scoring was recorded at the meet.
The Owls are slated to compete next Saturday at the Bruce Lehane Invitational at Wesleyan College in Middletown, Conn.
