NORTHAMPTON, Mass. -- The Westfield State women's track and field team had two event-winners in Amy O'Sullivan (Greenfield, Mass. / Greenfield) and Grace Phair (Stockbridge, Mass. / Monument Mountain), as the Owls competed at the Pioneer Classic held at Smith College on Saturday.

O'Sullivan won the 5,000-meter run, while Phair won the timed mile in a time of 5:23.59

Lauren Gilderdale (Great Barrington, Mass. / Housatonic Valley Regional) placed third in both the weight throw and shot put events.

Freshman Jordan Eddy (North Grafton, Mass. / Grafton) was third in the high jump, clearing a height of 1.53 meters.

Both the Owl men's and women's track and field teams are back in action next weekend as they take to the Massasoit Classic on Saturday.
