WESTFIELD, Mass. - Westfield State University's Sabrina Pray (Mansfield, Mass.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Track Athlete of the Week Monday.
Pray finished 10th in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.97 seconds at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday, March 9th at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama where she entered the meet as the 15th seed.
Joining Pray in Alabama were senior teammates Ashley Craig (Groton, Mass. / Westford Academy) and Jessie Cardin (Sutton, Mass.). Craig cleared 3.70 meters (12-01.50) to finish 10th in the nation in the pole vault while Cardin placed 11th in the nation after running the 5,000 meter run in a time 17:14.41.
The top eight finishers in each event earned All-American status.
The Owls begin their outdoor track & field season on March 24th at the Wesleyan University Invitational in Middletown, Conn.
