Long, Deloury Lead Owls at MIT Final Qualifier

WESTFIELD, Mass. - Westfield State University's junior Kerri Long (Weymouth, Mass.) and junior Brianna Deloury (Andover, Mass.) posted a strong finishes in their respective events to lead the women's outdoor track and field team at the MIT Final Qualifier Meet at the Sherie and Don Morrison Track in Cambridge on Thursday.

Athletes from all along the East Coast looked to move up in the rankings heading into next week's NCAA Championship.

Long placed second in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:04.10.

Deloury finished fourth in the high jump with a height of 1.57 meters (5' 1 ¾).

The Owls close out the 2018 season at the NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championship, which is being held from May 24-26 at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in La Crosse, Wisc.

Qualifiers for the championship meet include senior Jessie Cardin (Sutton, Mass.), senior Ashley Craig (Groton, Mass. / Westford Academy), senior Sabrina Pray (Mansfield, Mass.), and junior Lexi Popp (Westford, Mass. / Westford Academy).
