Women’s Swimming and Diving Named to CSCAA Scholar All-America Team

WESTFIELD, Mass. – The Westfield State women's swimming and diving team was named to The College Swimming and Diving Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team for the Fall 2023 semester.

The Owls posted a team grade-point average of 3.58 which was the highest team GPA of the ten other programs in the Little East Conference.

In order to qualify for this prestigious recognition, teams have to exhibit exceptional grade point averages during the Fall 2023 semester, earning a team GPA of 3.30 or above.

A total of 783 teams from 461 institutions from Division I, II, and III along with NAIA and NJCAA institutions were recognized for their academic achievement as a total of 18,716 student-athletes were recognized.

Westfield most recently won a pair of meets, defeating Elms College 131-116 and UMass Dartmouth 162-41 on back-to-back days to finish 3-3 in dual meets under first-year head coach Matthew Nodell.

Westfield State will prepare for the next week and a half for the Little East Conference Championships which begin on Friday, February 16 from the Boston Sports Institute in Wellesley, Mass.
