Owls Sink Anchorwomen, 138-111

WESTFIELD, Mass. –   Westfield State swimmers won 10 of the first 11 events as the Owls sank the Rhode Island College Anchorwomen by a 138-111 score in a dual meet at the Ely Pool on Saturday.

Kat Ferri doubled up in winning the 100 butterfly and the 500 freestyle, and also swam a leg of the Owls winning 200 medley relay unit to start the meet.

Wiktoria Kaczor also won a pair of events for Westfield, topping the 50-yard breaststroke and the 100-yard breaststroke, along with being a part of the Owls 200 medley relay.

Nicole Pechulis was another dual winner for the Owls, leading the 200 freestyle and the 50 freestyle events.

Senior Lauren Harkins topped the 1000 freestyle and Alexa Richter won the 50 backstroke before the Owls swam exhibition for the final three events.

The Owls are now 1-1 in dual meets this season.  Westfield will next swim at Western New England on November 6.
