WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Westfield State University junior diver Monique Groux (Agawam, Mass.) was named the Little East Conference's co-diver of the week on Monday.

Groux won the 1-meter diving event at the Little East Conference championship meet at UMass Dartmouth on Saturday with a score of 227.40.

Groux placed second in the 3-meter event with a score of 218.70, just 9/10ths of a point behind Plymouth State's Casey Allaire, who shared the league's weekly award with Groux. Groux was the highest scoring diver at the meet when combining totals from the 1 and 3 meter diving events.

The Owls have a tradition of success in diving as alumnae Owl divers Kim Schmidt and Katie Sterpka own several of the league's diving records.

Groux and the Owls will now prep for the NEISDA Championships, which will be contested at the University of Rhode Island on February 16-18.
