Jenn Rennich Named D3 National Player of the Week !

WESTFIELD, Mass. –Westfield State University women's soccer grad student Jenn Rennich (Bedford, Mass.) has been named the United Soccer Coaches national Division III player of the week.

Rennich tallied five goals and two assists in a pair of Owls wins.  Rennich netted the Owls first goal of the day and added an assist in a 5-0 win at Plymouth State, then rattled off four goals and another assist as the Owls skewered Salem State 6-1 on Saturday as Westfield clinched an unbeaten record in conference play.

For the season, Rennich has totaled 22 goals and six assists for 50 points.   Her 22 goals are the second-best single season total in school history.

She has also set Owls' career records for points (142) and assists (44), and needs two more goals to match the school's career record of 51.

She ranks in the top 10 in the nation in NCAA Division III in goals and points.

Westfield is 13-3-1 overall and posted a 7-0 mark in the MASCAC.  The Owls are the top seed in the conference tournament and host a semifinal round game against Worcester State on Friday night at 7:00 p.m.   Westfield is currently ranked sixth in the United Soccer Coaches Region II poll.
