Westfield State junior midfielder Lydia Kinsman (Granville, Mass//Southwick HS) was named the MASCAC women's soccer player of the week for the week ending Sept. 8, 2019.

Kinsman tallied a goal in each of the Owls' two matches in the week, netting the game-winning goal in a 3-1 win at Castleton State, and then scoring the Owls' lone goal of the match in a 1-1 draw at the University of New England.

The Owls are now 1-2-1 on the season.   Kinsman's two goals and four points both lead the team.  The 2017 MASCAC rookie of the year, Kinsman spent the 2018 campaign playing at Division II Southern nNew Hampshire before transferring back to Westfield State.

Kinsman and the Owls have a rare 10-day break between matches before hosting Keene State at Alumni Field in Wednesday, September 18.
