Vassar College's Fiona Waters scored with 45 seconds left in the third overtime to lift the Brewers to a 15-14 women's lacrosse win over Westfield State in Englewood, Fla. on Tuesday evening.

Westfield ran out to a 5-0 lead in the opening eight and a half minutes of the game behind goals from five different players.

From there, Vassar came all the way back to tie the score at 8-8 at the half.

Westfield trailed 14-12 and needed to score the final two goals in regulation time, getting markers from Hayley Mate and Marissa Nimeskern to tie the score at 14-all and force the extra sessions.

Westfield got 15 saves from Maria Woodall in the loss.   The Owls are now 2-2 on the season, while Vassar improves to 1-2.

The Owls will take the next two days off from competition after playing back to back games, before completing their three-game Florida set with a match against Nazareth (NY) College on Friday.
