WESTFIELD, Mass. - Westfield State University junior women's lacrosse goalkeeper Maria Woodall (King Phillip HS/Norfolk, Mass.) has been named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association' all-region team.
Woodall was a second-team choice in the IWLCA's "Berkshire" Region.
Woodall was previously named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference's Player of the Year.
She led the Owls to an 18-3 overall record, MASCAC regular season and tournament titles and to a first-round win in the NCAA tournament.
For the year, Woodall finished with a 9.06 Goals-Against Average and a .535 save percentage, while making a school-record 198 saves.
The IWLCA honored a total of 256 student-athletes in eight regions in Division III with a selection to one of the All-Region teams for 2018. These student-athletes are now eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American team. The IWLCA will announce the 2018 All-Americans during Divisional All-American Announcement Shows, which will be launched online in mid-June.
