WESTFIELD, Mass. - Westfield State University's junior Maria Woodall (Hanover, Mass.) made 31 saves with a .534 save percentage and 11.60 GAA in a 2-1 week for the Owls to be named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference women's lacrosse co-player of the week.
Woodall made 20 saves in the Owls 17-14 win over Johnson and Wales University, made five saves and only allowed three goals in 30 minutes of action in the 17-4 win at Massachusetts Maritime, and made six saves in the 12-11 setback to MIT.
For the season, she leads the league in saves, save percentage and ranks third in goals against average while helping the Owls to an 11-2 overall record and a 3-0 mark in the MASCAC.
Woodall will be leading the charge against the Framingham State University Rams on Tuesday, April 17th, on Alumni Field.
