WESTFIELD, Mass. –   Suffolk University topped Westfield State, 355-455 in a NCAA Division 3 women's golf dual match at Shaker Farms Country Club on Sunday afternoon.

Suffolk's Ellie Yarborough (Killingworth, Conn.) fired the low round of the day with an 84, on an overcast day with intermittent showers that became heavy for the final few holes of the round.

Westfield State was led by a 101 from Jordan Eddy (North Grafton, Mass.).  Sophomore Olivia Hadla (Westfield, Mass.), who jumped into the Owls' lineup with just two days of preparation was second for Westfield with 105, while Lily Barber (Cornish, N.H.) and Katie MacDonald (Hanover, Mass.) rounded out the Owls scoring four.

The match was the Owls first of the fall.   Several early-season events that Westfield has played in the past were cancelled as several schools in New England dropped their women's golf teams during the pandemic.  The Owls will look to schedule additional tournaments before prepping for the Northeast Women's Golf Conference championships in the spring.
