Women's Golf Takes Fourth at Spring Invitational

WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Westfield State's women's golf team took fourth place honors at Saturday's Westfield State Invitational at Shaker Farms Country Club on Saturday.

The Owls were paced by an 87 from senior Bailey LoughlinKyla Murphy added an 88, Makenze Felty 89 and Julia Dolce 96 for the Owls' team total of 360.

Suffolk won the team title with a total of 335, led by medalist Aine Dillon who shot 76.

The players faced tough conditions on a wet course that had been pounded by overnight rains, then saw intermittent showers and gusty winds during the round.

The Owls will be back in action on Sunday, playing in the inaugural New England Women's Golf Conference Championship meet which will be played on the Owls' home course at Tekoa Country Club in Westfield with a noon start.
