WESTFIELD, Mass. – Sophomore Megan Mahan (Austin Prep/North Providence, RI) shot the low round of the day with an 85 to lead Rhode Island College to a women's golf dual meet win over Westfield State University at Shaker Farms Country Club in Westfield on Sunday afternoon.
RIC posted a team score of 379 to the Owls 388.
Senior Bailey Loughlin (Maynard, Mass.) led Westfield with a 95, followed by freshman Kenze Fetty at 95, and senior Kyla Murphy (Hampshire/Southampton, Mass.) with a 97.
For the Anchorwomen, Kelsey Hinchcliffe (Burrellville/Pascoag, RI) carded a 96, followed by Meghan Rocheleau's (Toll Gate/Warwick, RI) 98.
Both teams will be back in action next weekend at the Mount Holyoke Invitational at the Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, Mass., the site of the 2004 Women's U.S. Open.
