Janae Jones joined the Owls' coaching staff for the 2023-24 season.

Jones was a standout guard for Westfield State University from 2008 to 2012 and helped the Owls earn their second MASCAC tournament crown in program history in 2009.  She played in 105 career games, and ranks sixth all time in career assists at Westfield.

Jones also played professional basketball on a two-week tour in Italy for American International Sports Teams. After obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Communication, and Multicultural Studies, coach Jones coached Varsity High School basketball at Wilbraham & Monson Academy. 

Coach Jones also teaches 5^th grade Special Education at Brightwood Elementary School in Springfield, Massachusetts.
