WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State senior guard Olivia Hadla (Westfield, Mass.) was named to the New England Women's Basketball Associations Division III team of the week, earning a spot on the second team for her performance for the Owls this past week.

Hadla collected a season-best 24 points, burying six first-half triples and racking up nine steals as part of a 95-32 victory over MCLA on Saturday. The six first-half, three-point makes tied the single-game program record for threes in a half. She averaged 19 points per game, 5.0 steals, and 2.5 assists while shooting 47% from beyond the arc in a 1-1 week for the Owls.

Through 15 games this season, Hadla has upped her scoring to 16.3 points per game, tying teammate Jordan Grant for the fifth-highest mark in the conference. She is also tied for the team-lead in steals per contest at 3.1.

For the second straight week, the Owls have received placement on the NEWBA Team of the Week as Grant earned a spot on the all-region weekly team last week.

Westfield State (8-7, 1-1 MASCAC) will travel to Worcester State for a MASCAC game tonight at 5:30 before hosting Fitchburg State on Saturday at noon from the Woodward Center in Westfield, Mass.
