WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Westfield State senior Lucy Barrett (Williamstown, Mass.) was named the MASCAC women's basketball Player of the Week, as announced by the conference earlier today.

Barrett averaged 27.5 points, six rebounds, 4.5 steals, and sho 51.4% (19-37) from the floort  in a 2-0 week for the Owls. She scored a game-high 31 points on 9-18 shooting from the floor and a perfect 10-10 at the line to propel the Owls past #25 Middlebury, handing the Pathers their first loss of the season. Barrett connected on 10-19 shots from the floor and 3-7 from downtown while scoring a game-high 24 points against Bridgewater State, adding five steals and four rebounds in the 77-68 win over the Bears.

The women's basketball team steps on the court again when they tip off against MASCAC rival Framingham State beginning at 8:00 p.m. in Framingham.
