WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Westfield State sophomore Melissa Gray (Peabody, Mass.) was named the MASCAC women's basketball Player of the Week, as announced by the conference earlier on Monday.

Gray averaged 20.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and two steals while shooting 51.9 percent (14-27) from the field and 53.8 percent (7-13) from the three point line in a 1-1 week for the Owls. She scored a career-high 24 points in 16 minutes of action, with five rebounds and two steals in the Owls' 103-84 win over Regis College. Gray also tallied 17 points, four rebounds and two steals in 17 minutes of play in the 79-74 setback to NYU on Saturday.

Gray and the Owls get back to action on Thursday, December 6 when they host Albertus Magnus, tip off scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
