WESTFIELD, Mass. - Westfield State University's sophomore guard Chelsea Moussette (Southampton, Mass. / Hampshire Regional) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference women's basketball player of the week on Monday.
Moussette scored a career-high 20 points, shooting a perfect 7-7 from the floor and 5-5 from behind the arc, with three assists, three rebounds and a steal in just 18 minutes of action in the Owls' 101-62 win over MCLA. Her 5-for-5 from behind the arc is the second-best perfect game in school history.
Moussette has 86 points so far this season, averaging 6.6 points and 3.8 assists a game.
The Owls are 7-6 on the season and 1-0 in conference play.
Westfield State will host Bridgewater State in MASCAC action on January 13th at 1:00 p.m.
