WESTFIELD, Mass. - Tim Forrest (Westborough/Grafton, Mass.) took home third-place honors to lead the Westfield State men's cross country team to a second-place team finish at the Trinity College Bantam Invitational Cross Country meet at Wickham Park in Manchester, Conn. on Saturday.

Forrest skipped over the 5k course in a time of 16:49 .7.

Trinity College runners took the top two spots, as Weyessa McAlister was the winner in 16:27.3, followed in by Timothy Bogomolov 18 seconds later.  The Bantams finished with a team score of 22, followed by Westfield with 42, and Nichols College with 79.

For Westfield, Kevin Rayner (Pittsfield, Mass.) placed sixth in 17:21,  Zac Bentley (Taunton /Acushnet, Mass.) was ninth in 17:29, and Conner Grady finished 10th in 17:34.7.

The Owls will be back in action next weekend at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational meet.
