Senior Shane Clark won the javelin and posted strong finishes in the shot put and discus to lead the Westfield State men's track and field team at the US Coast Guard Academy Invitational meet on Saturday.

Clark tossed the javelin 54.25 meters (178 ') to win the event.   He also finished fourth in the shot put with a mark of 13.17 meters, and fifth in the discus after to throw of 37.40 meters.

The Owls 4x100 relay team of Sebastian Metcalfe, Lucas Roberts, Brendan DeBarber and Owen Ortiz took third place in 44.01.

Roberts finished fifth in the high jump with a top mark of 1.75 meters, while Ortiz placed sixth in the triple jump at 12.64 meters.

Overall, the Owl men placed seventh in the team scoring.  UMass Dartmouth claimed the team title.
