WESTFIELD, Mass.  -- Westfield State's Brenden Laforest placed fourth in the 400 meter dash to lead the Owls' performances at the New England Division III track and field meet at Middlebury College on Saturday.

Laforest completed the circuit in 50.84 seconds.

Sophomore Colby Ranck placed 12th in the long jump at 6.43 meters, and was 14th in the triple jump with a best effort of 13.02 meters.
