Westfield State senior Michael Maher placed third in the 5000 meters to lead the Owls efforts at the Utica Holiday Classic track meet on Saturday.
The Owl men placed 11th in the team scoring.
Maher ran 16:23.17 in the 5,000.
Brendan Laforest took home third-place honors in the 400 in 52.14 seconds, while Owen Ortiz was fifth in the triple jump with a leap of 12.51m (41-0.5 feet).
The Owls will break for finals and the semester break, before returning to action on January 8 at the Harvard Meet.
