Men's Track Competes at the Wesleyan Invitational

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. -- The Westfield State men's track and field team won two events at the Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday.

Senior Corey Pooler (Middleboro, Mass.) and junior Nate Robarge (Pittsfield, Mass.) were the two event-winners for the Owls. Pooler won the 600-meter run in a time of 1:27.03, while Robarge topped the men's long jump with a final mar of 5.96 meters.

Senior Riley Moore (Holden, Mass.) took second in pole vault, clearing the same height as the winner but doing so in more attempts.

Senior Zac Bentley (Acushnet, Mass.) competed at the New England All-Divisions held at the Reggie Lewis Center, placing 23rd in the men's one-mile run in a personal-best time of 4:24.37. Bently was one of only two Division III competitors at the meet.

Both the men's and women's track and field teams are back in action next weekend at the Coast Guard Invitational in New London, Connecticut.
