WESTFIELD, Mass. - Westfield State senior Tim Forrest claimed MASCAC track athlete of the week honors after winning the 10,000 meters at the Corsair Classic Track and Field Invitational with a time of 33:15.68, leading the Owls to a second place team finish.

Forrest, who is also a member of the cross country and indoor track teams, has had a very solid senior year for Westfield State. He won the 5000 meters for the Owls at the MASCAC indoor track and field championships this winter, and took second place at the MASCAC cross country championships in the fall.

The Owls next race will be on Saturday, April 6th at the Coast Guard Invitational in New London Connecticut.
