WESTFIELD, Mass. – The Westfield State men's track and field team finished sixth among 13 schools competing on Saturday at the Pioneer Invitational indoor track and field meet at Smith College in Northampton.
Owls senior Tim Forrest placed second in the 5000 meters in a time 15:39.53, with teammate Brandon Leclair third in 15:50.61 to highlight Westfield's individual performances.
Owen Ortiz took home second place honors in the triple jump with a leap of 12.88 m (42'-3.25").
Riley Moore was fourth in the pole vault with a height of 3.95 meters (12'-11.50").
Westfield will be back in action next Saturday, competing locally at the Massassoit Invitational meet at Springfield College.
