Men's Track and Field Places Second at MASCACs
Brent Kane and Paul James were top point-getters for the Owls, as the Westfield State men's track and field team placed second at the 2018 MASCAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship at Bridgewater State University on Saturday.

Kane won the 110 high hurdles in a time of 15.66, and placed second in the 400 hurdles.

James topped the field in the 100 meters with a winning time of 11.26. He also took second-place honors in the 200, and was a member of the Owls winning 4x100 meter relay team, partnering with William Canty, Dorian Johnson and Owen Ortiz to post a time of 42.74 seconds.

The Owls won the 4x800 meter relay, with the unit of Zak Bently, Conner Grady, Connor Gottzmann, and Shea Hiltz completing in the circuit in a MASCAC record time of 8:02.64.

Bridgewater State won the team title with 257 points. The Owls were second with 171, and Worcester State was third with 113 points
