WESTFIELD, Mass. - Westfield State University's freshman Mitch Maslowski (Berlin, Conn.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week Monday.

Maslowksi placed third in the 200 meter finals at the Wesleyan Invitational with a time of 23.12 seconds to qualify for the New England Division III Championships.

Joining Maslowski in qualifying for the New England Division III Championships is senior Dereck Stone (Bellingham, Mass.) and sophomore William Canty (South Grafton, Mass. / Grafton).

No team scoring was kept at the meet.

The Owls travel to Rhode Island College on February 10th to compete in the MASCAC/Alliance Championship meet.
