WESTFIELD, Mass. - Westfield State University's junior Connor Gottzmann (Longmeadow, Mass.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference men's indoor track athlete of the week Monday.

Gottzmann placed sixth in the 600 meter run in a personal best time of 1:24.09 for All-New England honors at the Division III New England Championships.

Among 20 scored events, Westfield State placed 19th of 28 competing colleges and universities with a team total of six points. Tufts University finished first with 110 total points.

The Owls will travel to Middlebury, Vermont on February 23rd and 24th to compete in the Middlebury Winter Track Carnival.
